Maria Machado Has Burned Her Political Platform in the Country

Venezuela 's Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS ), Roy Chaderton said Monday that the former deputy to the National Assembly (AN ) Maria Corina Machado sacrificed her political platform in the country to serve as alternate ambassador to her prefer government of Panama.

"She sacrificed her platform, because you have to understand what it means to be a deputy, she didn’t even get to bud into a flower [and shine], because she was rejected," Chaderton said referring to the brief participation of Machado with member countries of the OAS during the meeting on Friday.

President of the National Assembly Diosdado Cabello said the country lost its investment in Machado as a deputy when she accepted and executed other orders issued by a foreign government, in violation of Articles 149 and 191 of the Constitution.

Machado, in her capacity as alternate ambassador to Panama, traveled to Washington last week, where she expressed support for acts of violence perpetrated in some parts of the country since February 12th by shock troops of the Venezuelan right, which have killed more than 30 people, as well as mass destruction, with the aim of overthrowing the government of President Nicolas Maduro, elected by the majority of people.

Moreover, Chaderton saluted the valor of the Ambassadors of the progressive Latin American countries to the OAS in resisting the pressures of the U.S. government. "It is an immense pride when you see the ambassadors of Latin American and the Caribbean debating.  Ambassadors that represent progressive countries and that are leftists and that's something new," he said.
In this regard, Cabello added that in recent years, "Every time the United States tries to maneuver in the OAS by way of vote of the people , they leave very battered ."

During this session of the OAS in which the case of Venezuela  was discussed, 29 of the 31 member countries spoke in support of the Revolution, which showed that Latin America and the Caribbean have closed the rings of security in defense of a plural-polar and multi-centric world.
