GISXXI Poll: 62% of Venezuelans Approve of "Government on the Street"

A study conducted by the 21st Century Social Research Group Foundation (GISXXI, by its Spanish language initials) found that 62% of Venezuelans characterized President Nicolás Maduro’s Government on the Street initiative as positive.  Through this initiative, communities are able to engage directly with Venezuela’s Executive Branch.

The data comes from the Governance and Political Situation section of the poll, which was conducted between June 21 and 29, and featured interviews with 2,000 people proportionally distributed according to the country’s population.  It has a confidence interval of 95% and a margin of error of 2.2%, according to the pollster’s website.

When asked about Government on the Street, 62% of those polled considered it to be either “very good” or good”, while 50% responded in the same manner when asked about President Maduro’s tenure.

Government on the Street is an effort to reach out to organized communities in order to listen to their plans and offer solutions to problems by approving projects that will contribute to improving Venezuelans’ quality of life.
